After 2 freezes yesterday I have made up my mind. The tablet is going back to gearbest. I just hope PayPal will refund the shop back costs.
It is sad for me as I have been waiting quite a lot of time to get one. After watching all Chris reviews from sevral months I have told myself cube or nothing. But the new format which was a nice change from 16:9 or 16:10 was very attractive. Well, I should have listened to mysellf; cube or nothing. Sorry to teclast guys but nothing impressive from this company lately.

Must be an issue with new batches. Mine didn’t have any problems, but then I dropped my camera tripod on it and busted up the screen. If you don’t have any luck with Gearbest, you could convert it to Windows/ Remix. That might solve the issue. But it’s a bit of a hassle to do. Chuwi just recently posted files in the forum.

Installing the pur android is reported as no help with the freezing problem. Windows I dont know but I personally want android or remix.

From what I’ve tead on chuwi forum, nothing will help for sure. I reinstalled remix and Android two times and changed somthing in bios. no luck at all.

Hey guys,

I’ve also been having the same problem with freezing since the tablet arrived. I’ve noticed a few things with the freezing: it tends to freeze when connected to my computer, via USB, and transferring files to it. It also has a tendency to freeze when Wifi is turned on. I’ve turned off Wifi, and have been using an SD card to get files onto the thing, and I’ve been pretty much entirely freeze free (on Remix OS). So, give that a shot.

That said, turning off Wifi is a terrible solution that basically turns it into a shoddy e-reader that can play videos. Hopefully this is something Chuwi can fix, since I can’t send it back to GB unless I want to pay out the nose for shipping (past the DOA time limit).

Did you pay by paypal? If yes normally paypal covers hipping back (in France max 30 eur).

I did! I’ll probably go that route soon, if a fix doesn’t come out within the week. Gotta love paypal 🙂

Hi, I purchased two weeks ago ‘this tablet with OS remix, my problem’ on the touchpad on the keyboard, in some moments when I slide your finger on the surface randomly opens the Goggle Chrome or the calculator window, there are also problems the freezing of the tablet and awakening from sleep mode, I wanted to know if they should send me a new keyboard (purchase of Gearbest) or if the problem depends on the tablet and wait for Chuwi solve the problem

Just as an update to this. My Vi10 Plus was freezing constantly on Remix OS. I wiped it, flashed a new BIOS for Windows, then installed Windows 10. It has worked flawlessly and has not frozen once, and the keyboard no longer wakes the machine either. Very pleased now, but it was a shame that  Android never worked well.

I do agree with you about Windows, it solves the problem. But in my case, I want an Android tablet, not Windows. So it’s not a solution. I still hope Chuwi will give a solution…

What about installing windows to fix the issues and then revert to android only ? Or maybe post screenshots of the bios settings to cross check if its just a setting that fixes the keyboard problem ?

I’ve released a kernel for CM12.1 that has fixed the ‘freezing issue’ for me at least. Basically it’s the Ncard eMMC to blame.
