Is there enough free space on the windows partition for the update ?
If you want to enter the bios, connect the keyboard, turn off the tablet, turn it back on and press the ESC button a couple of times on the keyboard
August 13, 2015 at 1:01 pm #9545Disable Secure Boot in the bios, I had the same problem, my tablet crashed and I was able after 3 hours of struggling to install windows 8.1 and upgrade to win10. I have the older Windows only VI8 and it works great with Windows 10
August 17, 2015 at 5:24 pm #9917Can someone send me a link to the instruction to reinstall windows. I tried the win 10 upgrade and installed to class 16 sd card and now boot loop, when I remove the card i get chinese error dialogue.
September 5, 2015 at 5:43 pm #10978HELP!!! While upgrading Chuwi Vi8 I am stuck in an endless reboot loop. Splash screen with the “Cguwi Logo” then the circle rotating then blank. Then Windows name at the bottom of the screen with the waiting circle. Then turns off power and shuts down, starts back up and a white frame appears briefly at the top half of the screen and the cycle continues. Can anyone help??

I did the Win 10 upgrade on the Chuwi vi8, and nowhere was it possible to go to Android. Tried re-installing Win 8.1 and that’s where I hit a snag. When I start the tablet after selecting Windows (Note that in order to get the Windows or Android icons, I need to press and keep pressing the on/off button and Sound + until the icons show-up and then release the on/off and select Windows) where it seems to be loading. However, the tablet pauses and an error from windows says there was a minor problem loading and we will resove it immediately (: – another note below states ‘INACCESSIBLE BOOTING DEVICE’ I connect the jump drive that I used when installing Windows 10, (I’ve tried restarting with the jump drive already plugged-in or when the error pops up on the screen), it simply re-starts forever until I stop it by hard-shutting it down. I’ve no idea why it went wrong, and I really haven’t a clue what to do next. I’ve looked everywhere on the net for some help for the past three days and there you were. Maybe you could tell me how to fix this mess, since I’m at a lost to find the solution. Many thanks for this forum. Maybe others have encountered the same problem. Lou -
