clean Windows install

I messed around with the permissions and it broke the start button/apps whereas they wont start. So I did the “reset pc” option and it factory reset my TL ver. It fixed my start button but now my store, Microsoft apps jus open and crash instantly. Iv searched all over the net and tried a lot of fixes no avail.

So I was thinking of doing a fresh install of windows 10. The windows is activated by a MAK volume licence so I know al need to obtain a new one.

Am I right in thinking to boot up the USB and follow the windows install? will it just over write the current windows partition and leave my android portion alone?

Boot from USB drive and setup Windows 10 into Windows partition.

But you need Windows 10 key. TL version has not got BIOS key. Gearbest at all deceives buyers with TL version of tab.

Just to be sure:
If I install a windows 10 installation from an ISO that’s downloaded from microsoft and created using their media creator: The Android partition and the boot…manager isn’t overwritten, right? (Yes, I know I need a new windows-key)

All I needed to do was remove the windows partitions and install windows on the newly created 40GB space.

Works fine.

Enjoying my LTSB version quite a lot more. All the bloat gone makes the experience a lot better.

So I should reinstall windows 10 (as stated above) and root + custom ROM it as well?
