It’s interesting to look at the similarities in Intel’s processors.  Granted how they are used in various devices makes a difference… heat sinks, quality/speed of RAM and flash they are mated with, screen resolution, battery size, etc…

    Braswell vs. Cherry-Trail stats:
    Pentium N3700 CPU: turbo 2.4GHz, GPU:16-EU cores at 400mhz/700mhz(burst), ~6watts
    Atom X7 Z8700 CPU: turbo 2.4GHz, GPU:16-EU cores at 200mhz/600mhz(burst), ~2watts
    Atom X5 Z8500 CPU: turbo 2.2GHz, GPU:12-EU cores at 200mhz/600mhz(burst), ~2watts
    Celeron N3150 CPU: turbo 2.0GHz, GPU:12-EU cores at 320mhz/640mhz(burst), ~6watts
    *All 4-core, 2MB L2 cache

I ran down a rat hole today looking at this Acer R-11 Pentium N3700 based device.
It looks reasonable but it’s a “convertible” not a 2-in-1 (detachable KB).  It has upgrade potential and *hopefully* can run Ubuntu v15.10 dunno yet.

Liliputing has a review of it…
