Chris said they don’t work, but I think his testing was QC 3.0 ones with 1.2 amps only. Keen to see your results with this two. I’m not sure to move from my Hi12 to the Hi13 or the Lapbook 12.3 or EZBook 3 Pro lol. But having a powerbank would be a huge plug for me taking it on the road.

first, as we talked in the other thread, be careful with the ravpower i don’t think its compatible.

second, i think the popwins wont work, its looks like 1.5A in 12V.

if you going to give something a try i suggest you’ll give anker powercore speed a try.

its the only one out there with a normal price-tag that supports 12V/2A.

    anker powercore speed

I will be carefull, I sent them a message on facebook and that agent said he thinks it does have 12V from the USB C. As also I doubt this I mailed ravpower themselves ad have not received an anwser yet.

About the popwinds, i asked the seller and she said it does output 12V2A (its down in “ask the seller a question” if it doesnt work ill.send it back. As i have plenty of 20k mAh batterybanks …

I read in XDA that these tablets are NOT compatible with quickcharge or samsungs’ adaptive charging. Hence why the samsung charger chris ordered will not work. So the anker will also not work…And nor will all the other QC3.0 powerbanks. To confirm this i’ll order it too.

It is very hard to find compatible chargers because not only does it need to be usb PD compatible but it also needs to be able to output 12V and from what I read it is up to the manufacturer to add that in.

    USB PD = 5, 9, 15 and 20V always and 12V is their choice/ manufacturer chooses that

    Qc trigger

    I found this nice thing.

It can simulate qc2/3 handshake protocal and trigger the voltage you need.

It solves the problem with the qc compatibility..

The answer whether a powerbank works or not is quite simple and you can save a lot of time testing:

QiuckCharge is a proprietary standard by Qualcomm. USB C PD (Power Delivery) is a universal standard. Chuwi and other Intel based tablets and notebooks use USB C PD.

All these powerbanks linked only support QuickCharge 3.0 and are only suitable for smartphones and tablets that explicitly support QC 3.0.

To charge the Chuwi Hi13 and other USB C PD devices, you need a USB C PD powerbank. To charge the Hi13, the powerbank needs to support the 12V profile of the PD standard.

Seller lied about the USB C output. So the popkinds doesn’t work. And neither does the RAVpower…Up to the next one. Any suggestions?

You guys really buying it  – just in order to try it out if it works or not? 😛

That’s really expensive business  – just for a tablet like this!

Talking about dedication! Oh well, I’m glad at least Hi12 had a proper power supply source that can be powered by any power banks out there, no matter where you buy it from.

Well, I buy of amazon, so if it doesn’t work as advertised, I just send it back. So not really expensive.

But GOOD HELL OF A NEWS, to charge at 12V I just had to press the power button for 2 seconds and it would charge it.

The tablet indicates that it is charging the led is on, the charging icon is moving and It says still 3hours until fully charged.

Still doing some tests if I can actually get it to higher the percentage.

    which power bank?

Btw, I think I’m going to order the QC trigger I’ve mentioned before and a QC power bank

The popwinds, I did some testing though, and eventhough it indicates it’s charging; the discharge rate was higher than the charging rate. So I won’t recommend it and thus have sent it back and have ordered another one.

You can try the QC trigger, looking forward to see your results. I hope it works

Everyone, great breakthrough for the charging of this tablet.

After some intensive research that took a long time xD I found and tested that these chargers and powerbanks work:

    • Wall charger: Only 22$, very compact: Gearbest
    • Powerbank: RAVpower 26800 USB PD; Amazon (Coupon code will be available soon)

Both work very good and have been tested.
