    In my experience, mine seems adequate at cooling in its stock configuration. I measured some temps last night after playing over an hour of video. I could feel the warmth on the back plate but it never got over 50C. Your mileage may vary however, especially if playing games. I did see some suggestions on the forum about putting a thermal pad between the heat sink and back plate which might drop the temp a few degrees. It would be great if you post your results before and after the mod.

    In my opinion in v4 version it’s not necessary. I even think You can’t do it. On this shield which is on motheboard You have cooper film at procesor.

    I only changed thermal pad for theral paste on procesor and waiting for thermal pad which I want put between shield and case.
