cube i10 need help

I bought this table for my daughter, who like to play games.  It was fine at first, but now it just shuts down.  Either right away or a few minutes after she starts a game.  She does have a cpu cooler, but sometimes the tablet shuts down before she can attempt to cool it down.  She is running android 4.4.  I would like to update android and get her to save her apps on her sd card.  Is this possible?
