Cube i6 Air 3G & Telcast X98 Air 3G – Same product?!

So I have the Cube i6 Air 3G which I’m really starting to understand the workings of now.  This has been a nightmare to get Windows 10 to upgrade due to the system recovery partition being missing which prevents the upgrade.  Anyway…..

This tablet appears to be identical to the Telcast X98 Air 3G.  Does anyone know if they are actually the same hardware?  I’d like to try flashing some Android 5.0 ROM’s onto it made for the Telcast but I don’t want to waste time experimenting if they’re actually two very different devices.

P.S. I’m planning on uploading a whole host of files and instructions in English for the Cube i6 Air 3G forum very soon from what I have learnt and gathered from limited Chinese websites!

Hi,

They have the same chipset and config. But the bios used is different. I have never flashed a Teclast rom on the Cube i6, I wouldn’t recommend even trying it, it just won’t work.

And I have had them both open, the internals are very different, both made in different plants in Shenzhen.
