    But without the sides and attached using thermally conductive tape rather than a case.

    I don’t want to sound stupid, but what about a mod that doesn’t void the warranty. Would it work?

    Here is my idea:

    Thermally conductive tape on back of the Cube i7 book, then thin copper sheet (cut to size and corners rounded off) over most of the back part (but not curved part) then maybe 3M vinyl skin (e.g. CARBON FIBRE) over it all so it doesn’t look weird?

    Would this work or not? I’m thinking of buying this tablet but the overheating issue kind of puts me off.

    What are the thermals like in balanced mode (not high performance) without mods?

    I’ve been wondering what that standard is too.

    I’ve seen it before on Non-3G variant of an ARM (Rockchip 29.18) based tablet. So somehow it connects with a 3/4G module but I have no idea.
