Recently the plug for the charger on my Cube i7 Stylus (bought during the 11/11 Aliexpress sale) broke off.
i went out and bought a new charger that supports the same overall stats (12v, 2A, 3.5mm DC plug).
I left my i7 Stylus at about 7% charge and hadn’t used it for about 2 weeks at that point. As soon as I plugged the new charger in the red charging led lit up and the tablet started to boot. When I arrived at my desktop the touchscreen was completely unresponsive. A couple of seconds later it rebooted again. This time, though, I got the EFI shell boot screen after the blue Cube logo. I just waited that out, since I didn’t know what to do.
The screen then turned off. It’s practically a brick now. Charging led does not light up when I plug it in, power button does nothing, no changes in temperature.
I’m not really sure how to proceed now. Don’t know whether I can send it to Cube or if I voided the warranty by using a different charger. Should I contact the seller on Aliexpress? If there was something I can do mysel, I’d gladly do so.
Problem with that is, that any warranty I had is voided as soon as I open the thing.
So I turn to you guys for some advice and help.
