Greetings!  I have been tweaking and tuning my new Cube I7 Stylus for best possible performance while gaming. While I only use the Cube for emulation, I thought it would be wise to share my settings and configurations so that everyone could benefit from my work.  My tablet is basically stock with no hardware modifications.

    Tablet Setup:

    CUBE I7 Stylus CPU Info:

    Customizations:

The default configuration of the tablet and wootever BIOS causes the tablet to slow down to avoid throttling.  For gaming, this causes lots of issues as the tablet is not fast enough to play many games with this setup.  To correct make the following changes:

    • In the Wootever BIOS, set the CPU TCC value to 0
    • In the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, set Turbo Boost Power Time Window to 1.25 seconds

    Graphics:

The graphics configuration of the tablet does not require much configuration, just make sure everything is set to balanced and it will work fine for most games including Wii.

To optimize the panel for games, make the following configuration settings by right clicking the Intel Control Panel icon in the system tray:

    • Graphics Options
      • Panel Fit
        • Maintain Aspect Ratio
      • Balloon Notifications
        • Disable All

Optimizing the tablet itself is very simple, and no hardware mods have been required at least in my case for 60FPS in even the most demanding games.

Gamecube / Wii Emulation – Dolphin

First things first; don’t install the stable Dolphin version, you’re going to want to use a development version for best performance.  I’ve been using the 4.0-9126 build with excellent results.  For the latest version, see dolphin-emu.org.  To configure Dolphin optimally for the CUBE tablet, make the following configuration changes.  I’ll leave it to you to configure your controllers and only speak to the best general and graphics configuration settings.  If you are already using another version of Dolphin, backup and delete the Dolphin configuration files in My Documents before continuing as I’ve found that they can hurt performance by enabling deprecated settings and configurations.

You’re doing a great work here!
I don’t use my tablet for gaming, but I appreciate your work!

I see you have a good understanding of handling the Bios and CPU which I lack.
Maybe you know how to modify the setting for the best battery configuration? Any recommendation?
