Don’t think so. Dispute is negotiation. I know I won’t get 250$. And I know the seller won’t refund a penny. But I’ll escalate to AliExpress and I’m pretty sure I’ll get a fair settlement. Always did so far, just need good proof and good case. I already asked the seller if the key was valid, he said yes. I received the tablet today, it’s not. I asked him for a valid key and opened a dispute. He has the choice now. He should have paid 30$ for a bulk licence is the first place.

Cause of course, I haven’t bought anything recently for 65$ on Ali or Ebay, and they want bank statement as proof of purchase and value.

Volume licence is not supposed to legitimately be able to upgrade to Windows 10. Thing is, the experience of those with pirated Windows 8.1 with KMS shows that it is indeed possible to upgrade to Windows 10. What you will get is a fully activated and operational Windows  without any nag screens or any other indication that Windows is not genuine. Many people have reported a successful upgrade. Windows will show that it is a permanent activation and a generic volume key has been assigned. Remember, it is not legitimate, and Microsoft may decide at a later date to deactivate anyone who upgraded through a volume channel, whether that was a genuine volume activation or emulated KMS.

+1 Craig. I’m upgrading right now. The “Get Windows 10 app” never showed up but I simply downloaded the ISO straight from Microsoft website. The installer is still “getting updates” but pretty everything will works fine. Maybe I’ll have to re-crack it….

Let us know if it works, I have a kmspico activated unit now to that I got for someone, if they find it’s not legit I’m in the poop. I vouched for the tablet as mine in the review had Windows 8.1 Bing. Not a cracked version.

This must be how Cube lowered the price to $299, because they aren’t having to pay for legitimate keys from MS, very naughty!

I highly suggest getting one from Banggood.com now, if people are looking where to get one as my second unit i got from Banggood had 8.1 bing and no cracks, fully valid license and all.

Still no news on when the keyboard will ship. Has anyone got the keyboard yet?

I’m another with Cube i7 Stylus working fine… No wifi issues at all, tablet working ok with Windows 10, stylus and wacom feel drivers working ok, etc…

Relative to windows 8.1 pirated upgrading to genuine Windows 10, i remember that Terry Myerson anounced first that all Windows 7/8/8.1 will be upgraded to genuine Windows 10, genuine and non-genuine. Textually:

We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10.

Anyone with a qualified device can upgrade to Windows 10, including those with pirated copies of Windows.

Some days later, Microsoft clarified that even though pirates will be able to auto-upgrade to Windows 10, the version they get will still be considered unlicensed, and shows a watermark, but… What if Terry Myerson was saying the exact truth and refering to genuine Windows 10? I think that’s a possibility.

I did a reset on mine and now i am stuck with a windows 8 + bing install that won’t activate i am hoping to use my windows insider membership to get a free copy of windows otherwise it looks like i am installing linux mint..it boot from USB a pain in the butt?

It worked very well. Download the ISO from Microsoft Website, mount it, install and voila! Windows 10 Pro installed & activated: http://imgur.com/n79rtcV

What did you use to mount it?

…are you saying that you now have a fully legit Windows 10 Pro?  Everything works?  (wifi/stylus/etc)

1. Download Windows 10 ISO
   1. Using your tablet (Windows 8.1) or another Windows PC
      1. Download the software they suggest you to, named something like windows 10 media creation
      2. Open it, at step 1 choose “Create installation media for another PC”, choose your lang, select Windows 10 as Edition and 64 bits as Architecture.
      3. Wait for download to complete. Click the text when it says where the ISO is located. It will open the folder in Explorer. You can click finish to close the download manager. Mount your ISO.
   2. Using a Mac
      1. Go to the link above, select Windows 10 as Edition. Click Confirm. Select the lang you want. Start the download. Transfer the ISO to your tablet and mount it.
2. Open setup.exe
3. Follow the steps and install Windows 10. I have chosen to delete everything from the hard drive. Keeping no programs etc. So no more KVM. I got a fully activated Windows 10 Pro doing that.

So no need to download the Win10 driver pack from XDA?  The stylus and wifi and everything are working properly?

The WiFi is perfect. Stylus is not working automatically, you need to download the official driver here: http://us.wacom.com/en/feeldriver/. It takes 1 minute to download & install. No reboot required. Very nice.

The orientation sensor doesn’t seem to work automatically too. Need a driver for that. I used this driver to make it works, but it’s inverted. Waiting for an answer to that.

I love this tablet & Windows 10. Only bad thing so far is that it gets hot so fast!!!! By the way the keyboard, I repeat it, is really nice. Just discovered that it has a place to put the pen in. Useful! 🙂
