Do you need to remove the KMS activation before upgrading? How do you know the KMS tool is not there anymore once the upgrade is done? Thanks!
When upgrading, select option to “Not keep anything”. It will put all your things in “C:\Windows.old”. The new install won’t use KMSpico, and Windows 10 will be activated as Windows 10 Pro. No need for KMSpico, you get a full working license.
You can then remove the Windows.old folder and voila 🙂
August 6, 2015 at 2:07 pm #8794I’ve ordered that tempered glass screen protector too for mine as the plastic one is a mess now with marks from the stylus.
Chris, can you tell us which store you ordered the screen protector? and do they have any other kinds of protection to choose from?

August 6, 2015 at 7:21 pm #8829I recieved my package today, included keyboard and pen (looks exactly the same but with a little brown tone). Screen was not stuck. Win 8.1 Pro via KMS :(. Connected it to WiFi and had no issues yet. But i cant do much because i have to charge it up first.
The only thing i have to look now is how to get the tablet into the keyboard as case without too much pressure on the screen so it gets stuck again in the middle 🙁
I tried to insert the Tablet into the keyboard so its like a completed case but it doesnt fit into completly and so there is too much key pressure on the screen.will charge the tablet now and then i will investigate further 😉
edit: Made quick photos with my phone cam and uploaded it: http://imgur.com/a/vRTJu
Please have a look at it.

August 6, 2015 at 8:47 pm #8838Remember guys, when you upgrade your emulated KMS Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, you’ve done so on the volume channel. Volume is not legitimately allowed a free upgrade to 10 and it will be easy for Microsoft to deactivate. I suspect they won’t, however as all KMS activated computers have been assigned the same generic volume license key, it would be easy to kill off these activations as they were not eligible to begin with.
August 6, 2015 at 9:26 pm #8846@tyrant82 Alex is it just me or is your keyboard bending up in the middle and that is causing the issue? I would say the keyboard is to blame here. I had the stuck screen issue on one Chuwi Hi8 and Cube i7 Stylus from transit damage. (Pressure on the tablet)

I think so too that its the keyboard to blame. On the right side of the keyboard i see glue sticking out like it was opened up and glued together then. The upper side of the Touchpad is not clickable and complete blocked like it is not supposed to click here or damaged from inside. And when i look at it seems to be bending there too 🙁 But the keyboard was in the package with the tablet underneath it and the package was well packed together too. Maybe i should try to get a partial refund and order a new keyboard 🙁
Edit: Made some new photos at work when the Light in the room is better, poor phone cam 😉 http://imgur.com/a/3WYw0August 7, 2015 at 7:45 am #8908I tried upgrading using the method posted here by Keven but it asked me for the keys which I dont have since the tablet did not come with 8.1 … how can i update my windows to 10?
thanks
August 7, 2015 at 10:51 am #8917Hi there,
I did a clean install of Windows 10. Afterwards, I installed the drivers (located in the first post of: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-8-rt/general/cube-i7-stylus-t3151563) and flashed a modified bios (V4, you can find it including the flashing instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62183546&postcount=132).
Win 10 works just fine. I can recommend the upgrade. The stylus, bluetooth, Wifi and rotation sensor work without problems.
The only things I noticed:
– Automatic switching ofDesktop mode /Table mode does not work upon detaching/attaching of the keyboard. We will need a proper driver for that.
– In Win 8.1 the was under “advanced power options” the possibility to adjust the cTDP of the CPU. This setting is gone under Win 10.
Best wishes,
Christian
August 7, 2015 at 12:01 pm #8921With regards to the auto switching, there’s got to be a registry setting somewhere that can be turned on that switches when a keyboard is attached. Just need to find it.
August 7, 2015 at 12:40 pm #8926Just relieved my order from July 23rd, Singapore post is fast!
Same here regarding hacked windows and still no tracking number for the keyboard .
Is there a recommended 12V powerbank that could fit to this tablet?
In addition, can someone please post the dispute he opened on Aliexpress so I could use the same phrasing?
Thanks!
August 7, 2015 at 2:59 pm #8950I sent this as my dispute:
Device has arrived with a counterfeit copy of Windows installed. This installation has been activated using KMS Pico.
I paid for, and expected the device to come with a fully licensed copy of either Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8.1 BING. In it’s current state, I cannot legally use the tablet as I do not have a valid license for the Windows version that is installed. I am therefore forced to purchase a license.
Please can you either send me a valid license key or refund the cost of an OEM copy of Windows 8.1 (£60).
Thanks
August 7, 2015 at 5:50 pm #8963@rilot Be interesting to see what they come back with. I got the cut and paste message to upgrade to Windows 10 🙁
