My Cube i7 Stylus arrived finally. Bought from GeekBuying sale over 3 weeks ago. They sent me the tablet and “original” Cube stylus with change tips. Tablet itself was in perfectly fine condition, there are two small bubbles under original film screen protector. I don’t like the touch of it so I probably need to order that tempered glass proctector. The charger is actually quite rubbish, it is US style plug where they gave Euro style adapter. Expect that “adapter” seems to always stuck to wall socket when I remove the plug. Need to look for better designed charger.
It came with Windows 8.1 Pro, cracked. Tested recovery for fun and it actually restored Windows 8.1 Bing. That Bing event got key in it (ending -BY36R) but Windows activation didn’t like it saying it being blocked (Error code 0xC004C003 (Activation server determined that the specified product key has been blocked))
So I grabbed BIOS and Drivers from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-8-rt/general/cube-i7-stylus-t3151563 and installed fresh Windows 10 Enterprise with destroying every possible partitions the tablet had. And seems to work just fine so far, I haven’t tested everything thoroughly but Wacom pen seems to be working (it detects different pressures), screen rotation works, haptic windows button works and so far it hasn’t crashed once.

Yeah i got the same charger with the euro style adapter and its really cheap 🙁 Its always stuck and i have to manually remove it too. So if you find a better charger with an euro plug to put on or already integrated please let me know 🙂
August 11, 2015 at 9:41 am #9348The barrel plug measures at 3mm outside by 1mm inside. It’s a 12V 2.5A charger with a positive centre pin..
I’m struggling to find anything that matches on the open market. I’ve got a 3.5mm charger that’s 2A 12V that I’m going to try when I get 5 minutes to locate it in my drawer of discarded tech junk.
August 11, 2015 at 10:56 am #9351is it something like this or did i get the measurements wrong?

August 11, 2015 at 12:33 pm #9353That might work. It’s only a 1.5A charger though so it will be slow to fully charge the device.
August 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm #9356Right, I “think” that the port is the same as the Acer Icona A500 tablet. It sure looks like it.
I’ve ordered this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171803782880 if it works I’ll report back.
August 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm #9357Its really difficult to find the correct plug type and with 2.5A 🙁 i measured the input plug and i got 3mm, all chargers got 2.5 or 3.5 but no one specifies 3mm.

i measured the input plug and i got 3mm, all chargers got 2.5 or 3.5 but no one specifies 3mm. Yeah I have found it very hard to find, I’ve ordered a 12V 3 Amp plug and plan to bodge it together if all else fails.
August 11, 2015 at 5:23 pm #9366what about this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3PCs-5V-3-0mm-7-Huawei-Ideos-S7-Tablet-S7-Slim-Mediapad-S7-301-Tablet-USB/1742406648.html
August 11, 2015 at 6:13 pm #9369I went to Teknik Magasinet local store and showed Cube charger to sales guy. He found me this: http://www.teknikmagasinet.fi/tuotevalikoima/sahko/virtasovittimet/verkkovirta/reiseadapter-switchet-36w-5-24v
It has compatible tip which is sized 3.5mm x 1.35mm and you can select output voltage and which way voltage comes out of the pin. Didn’t actually look at the charger itself in store and I was wtf how big is this at home. The connector of one I bought is actually better than original, it does not stay out looking like its not pressed to the bottom. Output is specced 12V and 3A but on first glance Cube doesn’t seem to charge any faster.
