Is this a surprise? I mean, was this specific Stylus ever officially supported?

It is different from the CEP01 Stylus (exact also sold by Dell, etc) that is guaranteed to be supported.

I considered buying other, third-party Stylus as well, but I was afraid of any compatibility issues.

i.e., If it is not officially supported, can you say that the tablet / WACOM related hardware or software is NOT working? How would you present this to a Customer Service agent of the store you bought it from?

That’s what I thought and ordered the “official” one instead.

According to wootever you need a passive Wacom version (Note) with no batteries and then it should work.
I will send it back and try to get the correct one.

Theoretically it should; but did you read any testimonies of people who had tested it with this tablet?

If not the original one, then one which has been tested and found to be working the tablet.

I did not like spending 31$ on the stylus alone, I could have gone for a cheaper (tested & working one), but I thought
    – “if there is s0mething not working, how will I then know what is wrong”?

There is a thread in this sub-forum with specific Pens that have been tested with the Cube i7…if you don’t want to spend even more money, you could try one of the mentioned cheaper ones, at least to verify what could be at fault.
