ram nope
ssd potentially but will have to ghost/clone ssd to upgrade. afaik
September 17, 2016 at 11:16 am #49994SSD yes. You can plug in a 4G modem in the second M.2 port too (not a second SSD tho). A pity it’s not RAM-upgreable. 8GB is a must for some apps

September 19, 2016 at 5:41 am #50146Hi just curious, with the ssd i’m looking at upgrading to 512gb, would this work tho?
With this adapter?

I can’t see any obvious problems, should fit in case.
If anyone has tried this please let me know the results.

September 19, 2016 at 10:48 am #50167@dylan-alexander That Kingfast will not work, it’s mSata. You need an M.2 sata3, type 2242 (22mm x 42mm) so the Transcend 512GB one will work. I have a 256GB one and it works much quicker than stock.

Hence the adapter, are you sure it won’t work with that?
December 7, 2016 at 5:40 pm #58186In my Cube i9 is built in: type 2242 (22mm x 42mm) so the Transcend 512GB
It is perfect working. If you like to have more power, so upgrade your CPU cooling. It´s really very important. I took a cooper plate (20x20x1 mm), silverpaste and new thermical pad 100x100x1. Important are the big flat contact with the metal cover.
December 8, 2016 at 10:04 pm #58262please can u tell me wich setting i have to change in th bios for the overclock? i already do the cooper mod.
December 9, 2016 at 4:41 pm #58312No changin in boot. The cpu do it automatical to boot higher, because the temperature are lower before….the meaning are, the booting of the CPU and specialy GPU is higher as before because better cooling.
Make a Benchmark test and you will see that !!!
December 12, 2016 at 8:58 am #58438Hi,
You suggested the “Transcend 512GB MTS400 SATA III M.2 Internal SSD” but the 256gb version should also be a good option right?
Just making sure before I go spending money on this upgrade.

Chris have You tried to install a 2280 ssd?
It shoud fit anyway.
New samsung 960 is really interesting
What I've used and what I've got:
TECLAST X98 AIR 3G, TECLAST X98 AIR II, TECLAST X98 PRO,CHUWI HI8, CHUWI HI12, CUBE I9December 13, 2016 at 10:48 am #58523@chris g Chris have You tried to install a 2280 ssd? It shoud fit anyway. New samsung 960 is really interesting
Couldn’t get it to fit, not enough space for a 2280. Also the 960 Pro is NVMe or PCIE. It will not work, the Cube i9 and the other tablets with Core M3’s use Sata3 spec 2242 SSD drivers.
