hi all
sorry I had to create this post backwards, had issues uploading the files!
attached is the latest cube 5x bios file (rar file) and the howto guide (doc file – use google translate on the steps, thankfully the command names are in english)
the factory windows can be downloaded from here –

DL Code : 1qwfI got all this from Alldocube directly so no dodgy 3rd parties involved. But as always, use at your own risk. The BIOS upgrade worked great for me (not that it changed much, but not bricking my laptop was a massive plus!), and I have not used the windows link yet (a reset from the control panel was good enough for me since I use Linux as my primary OS).

Nothing new that I can see. I dont have those battery issues, sounds like chris may just have a dud unit (quite common in china – quality control is still lagging behind western standards). linux works for me when i use the linixium iso to install it.
September 6, 2017 at 11:25 am #71654I have a Touch Pad Problem (I’ve opened a Thread about it), do you think Bios Update can solve this problem? Thanks

replied on the other thread – seems to be a driver issue in windows.
September 29, 2017 at 10:26 am #72807I’ve just done a clean windows 10 install onto an SSD and the touchscreen is not working, so I need the driver.
Should I contact cube for the driver or run the factory windows install. Trouble is it is all in Chinese and over 8GB and it wants me to install a 3rd party installer (all in Chinese) sigh.
