I own the iwork10 ultimate, and i think it’s ace. solid keyboard dock, good build quality. HOWEVER, with the chuwi hi10 refresh/hibook anounced, it may be more worth while to wait.
I imagine sound quality on the hi10 will be better, due to speakers being on different sides of the tablet.
The speakers on the iwork10 are both on the same side and the sound quality isn’t that great, also charging the tablet does seem to take a while using the micro USB. other than that, i am realy enjoying the unit as a whole. As i say, very good build quality.
I’ve never used a hi10, but the refresh looks alot like more like the iwork10 than the previous (current) version + has 3g and USB type c
if its between the iwork10 and the chuwi hi10 (currently available), i would say to go for the iwork10.
March 4, 2016 at 12:45 pm #27962the pluses of the hi10 are 2 full size usb port, downsides are really high failure rate and no dual boot (yet)
the pluses of the iwork10 are great build quality, better battery, better thermals, dual boot already available, downsides are only micro usb ports on the tablet
i went with the iwork10 even tho i highly valued the full size ports. the long list of problems of the hi10 and the lack of dual boot scared me away from that one
March 7, 2016 at 8:55 am #28264am on the same boat – how to decide – iWork10 or Hi10
– both have unfortunately only single-channel ram (and only Z8300 not even Z85xx)
– same screen resolution and aspect ratio
– I do not care android (so do not need dualboot, eventualy i will try amidous)Hi10
+ is cheaper
+ has two fullsize usb ports (and one is USB3.0 )
+- acceptable built
– high failure rate ? (is it true ?)iWork
+ is better built
+ stylus support (but which type ?)
– lack fullsize usb
– lack usb3.0
– price is about 40EUR more (with keyboard)March 7, 2016 at 10:15 am #28270actually, as of now, iwork10 ultimate is cheaper if you get it at gearbest. keyboard is still more expensive tho. also, it has usb 3.0, just a micro port. stylus is proprietary, 256 pressure levels, costs just a few bucks… nobody has tested it yet tho.
