Cube iWork11 2.9 GB instead of 4 GB of RAM issue

Greetings! 🙂

I ordered Cube iWork11 few days ago and while I’m waiting, I want to contribute to solving problem with 2.9 instead of 4GB of ram.

Possible solution could be:

 

1. Installing x64 version of Windows 10 (or maybe even x64 version of Win8)
2. Installing PAE patch (PAE stands for Physical Address Extension)

Regarding first solution, I read somewhere that guy from techtablets didn’t make it to install win 10 x64, I don’t know why so maybe some one should try with some different approach..

 

Regarding second solution, after researching, I found that some Russian programmers make PAE patch for all win versions. I found a lot reading comments on this page which leaded me to this forum (translate page with some translator if you don’t understand Russian) where you can find all links and instructions how to do it.

If I find something more, I’ll write here.

I hope that someone will succeed to use all 4GB of RAM on this tablet until my arrive from China 🙂

Since I don’t have this tablet yet, I’ll continue with useful links or possible ways to solve problem. I hope that someone will try something from this topic.

I couldn’t install Windows 10 64bit on mine, seems the UEFI bios is 32bit… 🙁 We need a new bios update.

Does the onboard graphics card use 1gb?

If it did, then it wouldn’t really be an issue, unless you preferred applications over games.

while I’m waiting my tablet to arrive, (30 days from ordering, 10 days from dispatch… :/ ) I wanted to ask you Chris, did you check this things before you tried to install win10 x64?

iwork11 usb controllers problem

hello guys,

From device manager,my iwork11 have three item in usb controllers:

<b>1. intel(R) USB 3.0 extensible Host Controller 1.0(microsoft)
2. unknown usb device(device descriptor request failed)………. that my problem.
3. USB Root Hub (xHCI) </b>

I’ve been trying to update the driver from online but there is no replacement. Someone have this tablet may should look for me what the the harware for no 2.

I tried using a PAE patch and it wrecked my install.  Now I’m trying to figure out how to recover it.  I copied the instructions verbatim, and it said everything completed successfully.  As soon as I was finished, my graphics card driver crashed.  I restarted to see if it worked, and now I’m no longer able to boot into Windows.  The BIOS are working, but I need to find a suitable Win10 image to recover with.

2.9 GB Cube iWork11 instead of 4 GB of RAM issue is an ideal technology, upgrading more ram at Downloadram.net website is also a method of adding free ram. The purpose of this is to speed up the device.
