I’m using the iVolver 60W Type-C charger on my Thinker i35 and it works perfectly, charges really quick too. I’m not sure that power pack will work. Says 2.4A but is it 12v?

If I understood correctly the output from the type-c port, which has the Power Delivery technology, is 5V 3A, 9V 2A, 12V 2A and 14.5V 2A, which I guess should be enough to charge it.

Here in Amazon UK the output specs are listed: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AUKEY-Portable-30000mAh-Delivery-Charging/dp/B01N5Q6K1J/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1494746397&sr=1-2&keywords=power+delivery+power+bank

Another question, are you still using your Cheotech type-c cable? Or found a better one?

    Hey David / Chris

Wouldn’t QC (quick charge) damage Thinker i35 since it doesn’t have it? I read that somewhere, maybe from Chris, I don’t know.

Also what’s the max that Cube’s Thinker type c port can take? 12v, 3a?

My Cube Thinker was sent today so I would like to ask you one more question @Chris. In another video of the laptop they show Chuwi’s H3 pen working on it so I would ask if you could verify if its actually working or not.

Btw I bought this usb-c hub (https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01N0PZPUC/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in an amazon flash sale. Hope it works!

I am also planning to buy your iVoler 60W type c charger and probably the PD power bank to try if it works.

    Thank you!

No the H3 pen doesn’t work. As you know I’m using that charger and it works really well.

    Hi again,

I have just received this power bank : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B01LLFUMFU/ref=pe_3044141_189395771_TE_dp_1

Both the power bank and the wall charger are able to charge de Cube I35 using their USB-C port, but you need to purchase a USB-C to USB-C cable separately  because it is not provided by RAVPower (!).

I didn’t have the time to do some charging tests, but in the comments, people says the power is 30W for the wall charger.

Edit: it took 2H to charge the laptop (in sleeping mode) from 20% to 100%

    Thanks for the update @Pilef.

When you said wall charger, are you referring to the one that comes with the powerbank?

And 20% to 100% in 2h with the wall charger right?

I’m thinking about that powerbank, since there’s no other powerbank that has 12v through type c.

Also I just noticed that power bank has 9v and 15v. I’m guessing you’re using 9v to charge cube right ? Does it charge even while its in use?

    Hi Nader,

Yes I was talking about the wall charger that comes with the powerbank.

It seems very effective, because it just charged my I35 from 5% to 99% in two hours.

I can’t answer you about the voltage used. On the wall charger it is written the following values for the output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 15V/2A, 20V/1.5A

Also I have done a test with the powerbank itself, and after charging the I35 completely I still have 2 leds over 4. So the powerbank could charge the I35 twice (this still needs to be checked).

I will test the charging while in use tomorrow (time to go to bed for me :D)

    Hi,

I have done some testing today.

So both the wall charger and the powerbank can charge the I35 while in use. However under heavy load, the powerbank can only prevent the interval battery from getting lower. Under heavy load the wall charger does its job by charging the battery.

Unfortunately, if you plug the wall charger to the I35 while it is on, it won’t charge it. You need to switch off the I35 and switch on again for the charger to work like expected. Going to hibernation also doesn’t work.

I suspect the charger to output 5V only and to need an order to deliver higher voltage, order that is delivered only when the I35 is switched on.

I have found a trick. If you start charging the powerbank with the wall charger and then unplug the powerbank and plug the USB-C cable to the I35, it will charge.

Hi Pilef thanks for the response.

I will definitely get the power bank since you seem to like and recommend it.

Usually you can see the charge rate if you install battery bar if you wanted to check it:)

It seems to only come with the Type c to C cable on the Canadian amazon so I’ll buy a 30w USB c charger separately.

Totally unrelated but related, how the keyboard holding up?

One reviewer on YouTube is complaining about the keys being skipped after fast typing.

He also showed that some of the keys are just getting kind of stuck into the keyboard. Looks disappointing really!

I got this notebook and ordered a powerbank with usb-c pd.

But i wanna buy a charger that i can use at home and now i have two options.

The ivoler 75w or the anker powerport+ 5. I would go for the ivoler but amazon doesnt ship it to switzerland.

I could order it but pay additional 15 bucks.

Does the anker works as good as the ivoler?

I’m currently using the Anker one with my Mix Plus, nothing to complain. Bought at eBay.

Hey guys, I’d like to buy a stylus for the Thinker, could you tell me which ones are compatible, i already have Wacom compatible for the mix plus, Wacom bamboo and a battery powered for the iWork 10 ultimate, as the notebook didn’t arrive yet I could not test those. I’ve read somewhere that the original one would be CEP05… Thanks.

Hey Chris, are you sure? Today I tried the new Microsoft Surface Book Pen on my Cube Thinker and it worked correctly, so I assume Chuwi HiPen H3 will also work on both – Cube Thinker as well as Microsoft Surface Book. Am I right or not?
