I have modified the official Windows 10 installation file of X98 Plus (A6C7) version 20160303, merging it with some scripts from this post, so that we can install Windows 10 of any language, any version. I have tested English (US) version of Windows 10 10586 (Home) and 14295 (Home and Pro), both are working fine.
All working drivers will be applied during the installation process, and the Win 8.1 SD Host Controller is also included.
I am not sure if it works on other models.
Use this at you own risk. I don’t take any responsibility of any damage of your device.
Instruction:
- (Can skip) Install mirek’s rom and modify Android partition size if needed. Or install Remix OS 2.0 with Android partition resize. The installation process will utilize rest of the space.
- Format an USB flash drive (at least 8GB) as FAT32 with volume label WINPE.
- Download my modified file here (https://goo.gl/lT5UGM) and extract everything to the root of your flash drive.
- Download an Windows 10 ISO image somewhere. (Please use 64 bit. I don’t know if 32 bit works or not)
- Extract “install.wim” in the “sources” folder of the iso file to the “images” folder of your flash drive. If it happens that what inside the “sources” folder is an “install.esd”, then use this tool (ESD2WIM-WIM2ESD-dism) to convert it into “install.wim”.
- Connect the flash drive to your tablet via USB OTG and boot up, select the Windows icon.
- Wait until finished.
Edit:
This still work with Windows RS1.
Today I installed Remix OS 2.0, flashed TWRP and gained root, and install Windows 10 Home 1607, within 2 hours.August 13, 2016 at 12:20 pm #46668Link updated, confirmed working with Windows 10 1607

I think you have to active it using “illegal” way.
October 22, 2016 at 6:33 pm #55429A notice: After a major Windows update, you will lost the TouchSetting.gt file.
You have to put it back on Android side by mounting the Windows partition using tools such as Paragon.
Next planned major Windows update will be Windows 10 RS2 in early 2017.
