OK, I had this W1s for about a week…. then one day it locked up in Windows (it’s Win 10 only). No option but to shut it down with a long press of the power button.
Started up again but stopped part way through Windows boot. No option but shutdown again.
Leave it for a little while… start it again & Windows reports it didn’t startup correctly last time. Screen says Restart or Advanced repair. Not exactly which of the options I pressed because the touch screen drivers were not loaded… but anyway, the screen went blank.
And now…it’s completely dead.
No amount of short or long power button presses, power button + vol +- and or reset button gets anything on the screen. No Pipo logo, nothing.
Putting a usb stick with activity light on it shows the usb is accessed for a second or so with a long power button press. And the activity light is on with reset pressed & power button…. but goes out the second the reset is released.
Too expensive to send back to China. Any other suggestions? Other than the obvious – chuck it in the bin!!
