It is very important that the Thumbdrive or (SD card inserted via USB Reader)  is formatted correctly for the Teclast Tablets.  Fat32 seems to work.  What may boot in you desktop or laptop computer may not boot in your tablet.

    1.  If using USB HUB with a 1-2-3 switch, check which position will recognize the USB drive before trying to do a thumbdrive BOOT.   To determine the correct position, while windows is running, switch positions until it recognizes the drive… remember that position in case one day your tablet will not start and needs an emergency boot…my position is 1.

You can boot into the BIOS using method 2 or 3 below.

    2. WITHOUT EXTERNAL KEYBOARD:  If a thumbdrive is used that is not formatted as valid boot device the bios keyboard will not appear.  that If proper formatted bootable Thumbdrive is inserted, you can actually tap the tablet’s screen while booting when the TECLAST logo appears (or a few seconds after it first appears), and a bios keyboard  will appear. then quickly press F7 for bios settings, then go to 4.

    3. USING WINDOWS SETTINGS IF YOUR TABLET WILL BOOT:  To use the BIOS to boot right into a USB drive….go to WINDOWS, SETTINGS, ADVANCED STARTUP, RESTART,
    TROUBLESHOOT, UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS, RESTART

4.Once in BIOS, click the tab “Save & Exit” (trust me), towards the bottom, click UEFI (whichever is your thumbdrive), and it will boot from thumbdrive —  IF IT IS FORMATTED PROPERLY.  If the thumbdrive isn’t formatted properly for a boot device then the UEFI Thumbdrive option will not appear in the BIOS.
