I’ve just acquired a cube iwork8 3g, and it has very little space left on it so I thought I’d see if I could delete the recovery partition. It’s listed in the windows disk management console and is around 4.5GB in size. Following the instructions linked below, I thought backing it up to USB and deleting it would be a straightforward proposition. I created the recovery USB but wasn’t offered an option to delete the recovery partition. I hesitate to delete it manually since there may be a reason I wasn’t offered the option to delete it.
Has anyone tried this on any dual boot cube device?
My biggest worry is that restoring the device from a recovery usb could result in wiping android. Therefore, I suspect that the the only way to restore windows, should it be necessary, would be to flash Cube’s official windows + android rom (linked below)
Can anyone confirm?
