I bought a “compatible” PSU for my Dell and nothing fit. Lesson learned. How do you correctly choose a replacement Dell power supply without connector issues?

A common Dell power supply mismatch happens when using a non-Dell or incorrect wattage/connector PSU, causing no boot, intermittent shutdowns, or error beeps (Dell proprietary pinouts on many models). Always match exact wattage, form factor (TFX/SFX/ATX), and Dell-specific connectors (6/8/10-pin). Check your model’s service manual for specs. For genuine compatible replacements, see Dell Power Supply options.
