It’s was the 3rd option under the recovery section, a url from Microsoft that downloaded a tool to build a new copy of pure Win 10.

The tool appeared to be working great. It downloaded a complete copy of 10 from Microsoft servers, then proceeded to build and update it, then installed everything, and eventually booted into the “choose your language” 1st step screen.

My story ends there (temporarily) because I didn’t anticipate that without the docking keyboard (or other suitable USB keyboard support), I would be locked out of the touchscreen. Parts ordered, lol.

Please make sure you have access to control your tablet via USB support,  before loading a pure Windows 10 build. (non Chuwi build)

Did anyone else successfully complete this Microsoft official rebuild/reload option? And how did it go? Any Smoother? Any Improvements?

Problems/solutions/pointers installing the latest necessary drivers from Chuwi?

As soon as my parts get here, I’ll continue posting about the build.

    Thanks for any input.

By the way, my tablet performance out of the box was really bad. Everything was super sluggish, and hard to control. As a finger operated only device it was completely  useless. Thankfully my Rii Bluetooth keyboard kind of saved the day so I could finally control basic windows elements. The lag was still bad though, and my sound is crackly, very low level, and distortion through the speakers. Bluetooth headphones sounded awesome though. I’m praying my speaker sound gets better, I’ve seen all the praise, just hoping to experience it myself 🙂

Was anyone else’s experience this bad out of the box? I assume I’m the exception, and not the norm.

    Thanks for any input.

Just in case anyone else is wondering about this.

I did a full factory reset, including user data. When the tablet came back (it took 4 hours) everything was working really quickly and is like a different tablet.
