There are several different currencies in Lost Ark. Here is a summary of each.
Blue crystals – they can be obtained both as in-game rewards and by purchasing the currency separately. They can be used to buy skins, certain potions, and some other boosts and buffs. This has been toned down in the full game in western regions – we will provide more information when the game is fully released.
Silver is your standard in-game currency earned by completing quests, looting chests, and killing enemies. You can use this currency to pay for your fast travel, buy potions or other items from various NPCs around the world, and repair your equipment.
Gold is the top-tier currency in Lost Ark, which you get from island exploration, Void raids, raids, and more. Lost Ark Gold is required to upgrade your character’s items. It is important. More gold the better. You won’t have to worry too much about this until the final content.
Pirate coins. These are unlocked when you start doing daily and weekly island/swimming quests, which you can complete with multiple characters on the same server. You use them to buy additional materials.
