Display stopped working

I have recently purchased a Hi12 tablet from Aliexpress. It was OK until two days ago when its display was as shown in the attached picture. I tried to forcefully shutdown. Then the screen was off. But when I rebooted the tablet, it came back again.

After a while, when I plugged in USB drive, I could hear the familiar chime from Windows 10. So I figured the device was working, but the display has gone bad. After a while, tinkering around, the display suddenly came back up showing the Win 10 desktop. But it was gone again after sometime.

Has anybody faced this issue before ? I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this problem. I would like to avoid shipping it back to China if it is possible.

Sound like a loose ribbon cable. I had heard here in the forum of some units the battery coming loose and pulling out the screen ribbon cable. Might pay to open it up and have a look if you can. You need T4 to t5 Torx screwdriver. 1 on each corner.
