Bump! Please, could someone check it both in Windows and Android?
February 10, 2016 at 12:01 pm #25598Hi Peter,
I have ordered USB OTG hub from eBay. A different one from all mentioned by users who have reported that theirs don’t work with X98 Plus. I have a dual boot X98 Plus. Now, the hub has 3 switch positions, this tablet is not listed as compatible in the leaflet that came with it. Positions 1 and 2 charge the tablet, when switched to position 3, it charges and recognizes the USB stick plugged into it. After 30 seconds, it stops charging and disconnects the USB key. Don’t know what the hell that’s about.. This is all under Win 10. I will check the behavior in Android now. Just gonna finish this comment and then boot into Android. Funny…

You saved me a lot of time trying to flash the Dual EFI to my Win-only X98plus for nothing.
I have several OTG+HUB+charger cables and none of them works. It seems it is a hidden EFI setting that Teclast (incomprehensibly) left disabled in this particular model.
Cheers!

It’s funny though – from H/W point it really seems that the Tablet is capable of doing it. It has to be some kind of setting.. The thing is which?
February 11, 2016 at 10:00 am #25692Dushan, you are right. Technically speaking the tablet is capable of charging while in OTG mode. See my post on the other thread:
February 12, 2016 at 11:42 am #25795Just to say that my Win10 X98 plus doesnt charge with otg.
Let me describe my setup. I just put a usb male to male to my usb plug, then connected to my OTG cable and then to my tablet. Result : not charging.
Hope it is a clue
