Hi Scott!
I have recently ordered a iWork10 compatible stylus (Chuwi Hipen H1) around 16€. I never used a stylus before but I’ll be glad to write here my impressions when I receive it (hopefully within next 2 weeks).

I just got my tablet and stylus(chuwi hipen too) today. Its generally decent and it works but I have this particular issue. My stylus goes haywire when charging and the palm rejection doesnt work. Only when charging though. It works fine on battery. Can you tell me if you have the same issues? Thank you!
Edit: mostly its the palm rejection that doesnt work when charging which. My stylus is working fine when im charging if my palm isnt resting on the screen. Also is your charging extremely slow?

Hi Adithya,
It’s good to know that the stylus works fine except when the tablet is charging. I’m still waiting my stylus to arrive but I’ll test it and write down here the results.
About charging, yes, it takes a long time. I have the typeC variant and use a 4-port charger hub (2.4A max) and takes around 4-5h for a full charge (starting at 10%). As I usually charge it while I sleep, it’s not an inconvenience for me.
April 8, 2017 at 2:41 pm #64887Actually a windows 10 update fixed the stylus issue for me. The stylus is pretty good for the most part (not for drawing but thats not why you buy this tablet.) Overall its very good for me and other than the charging I dont have many other complaints
April 13, 2017 at 10:33 am #65209Hi, sorry, I hadn’t noticed that I had received responses.
Astor, thanks, look forward to hearing your experience with the stylus.
Adithya, thanks also. Your recommendations are encouraging me to go ahead and buy one. I have a couple more questions I would be grateful if you could answer.
Does the palm rejection work ok when it’s not plugged in? Also, does the stylus work ok in the android os? I plan to use it sort of as a windows laptop and an android tablet.
Thanks
April 22, 2017 at 3:52 pm #65848Hi all!
I finally got my stylus this week and I have spent a couple of days with some light tests.
It works fine from the 1st minute, no need to activate or configure anything. Just plug the AAAA battery and touch the screen.
I have tested it just with 2 applications: one note and Xodo (a free PDF editor like Drawboard). No troubles for a simple use: fast annotations or highlight some text in PDFs.
In the other hand, I have some minor issues with the pointer precission when doing a slow writing/drawing. Maybe its a calibration problem but I’m not sure if it’s due to a stylus defect.
If I leave the stylus over the screen without moving it at all, the pointer makes some erratics movements around the current position. It looks like my hand would be a like bit shaking.
Something similar occurs when I try to draw a simple line at slow speed. The result is a “nervous” line. However if I draw the same line at fast speed it looks very nice (I mean fast speed as a swipe gesture speed). This doesn’t allow an accurate drawing.
Don’t know if it’s a isolated problem of my stylus but I’m happy enough with it because I don’t intend to draw with it, just notes and some PDF annotations.
PD: I’ll try to upload a screenshot with the problem I talk about.
April 26, 2017 at 7:43 pm #66110palm rejection works on android only with one note (ive tried a few others and it doesnt work)
In android, there is a noticeable lag. Lag is minimal but present for windows. Its fine for taking notes but not for drawing
