Sounds like its hibernating and not enough charge to turn on, it’s in its reserves. Make sure you use the original cable and charger. Or find a decent charger that outputs v5 and at least 2A, the more the better.Use the shortest and thickest microusb cable you have and leave it to charge overnight.
Now it will power on, if not do this. Hold the power button for 10 seconds, release it and then press and hold for 4 seconds and wait. The boot logo should appear.
