My sd reader broke so i cant say, i know ntfs will work if rooted,  but i believe paragon and the like can only read and mount it.  Exfat is used on rooted androids for extra space, but not sure if this tablet will natively read it as an sd card… Sorry, im no help.

With rooted Android you can setup free paragon NTFS and mount exFAT and NTFS SD cards to directory, but it is not perfect, Android . You can read contents, but Andrid complains unknown SD card….

Do you know if Android support exfat in android 5.1?

I have an unrooted ASUS MemoPad 7 ME176CX running Android 5.1. I put a 128GB Team Micro XC card in it and it formatted the card in exFAT, reported capacity is 120GB. I’ve put about 119GB of movies on it. No problems. My Gateway laptop running Win10 can read the card fine.
