Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of these Chinese branded tablets have dual band wifi? I need one with the 5ghz band for streaming. I’ve been having a hard time finding reliable information on most of the ones I have researched.
None that I have tested or can think of, they all have the Realtek Wireless N / BT combo card in them 2.4Ghz 150mbps. Or the Broadcom Wireless N 2.4Ghz / BT cards. I would love to see a dual band Wireless AC card now, it’s about time!

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30August 9, 2015 at 10:13 pm #9196I have seen one site list the cube i6 wifi edition as have 5ghz but I doubt its legit.
Anyone test this?

This would allow for a cheap Chinese tablet and the ability I need for 5ghz streaming. Though I am not sure what kind of requirement this thing would need other than the full size usb.
December 28, 2015 at 2:39 am #20134hi, hope its ok for me to bring this thread back to life.
Would appreciate any advice regarding dual band ie 5mhz a/n & preferably ac/a/n on any of the newer “affordable 2in1s (tablets with keyboards running w10 or w8.1) There is a real hole in the market here imo – (in Australia), most schools require kids byod, & must have 5mhz.
Asus T100chi is at least $300US here…
cheers
