My EZBook 2 boots to the EFI Shell. At the EFI Shell, the keyboard is not working. When I press a key, nothing shows on the screen and also when I press the Caps Lock key, the corresponding LED, stays unlit. I have tried two different USB keyboards, but in either USB port they are not getting power.
When I press the power key, it acts as if I pressed the enter key. Holding down the power key, does turn off the laptop.
I have been unable to access either the BIOS or boot menus, which may mean the keyboard is completely non functional, other than the power key.
I don’t know the history of this particular laptop, as I only just purchased it, hoping that it could be easily fixed.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
