After installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 creators fall update I have no sound on the speakers and wifi.

If I connect an HDMI cable to the TV there is sound!

Somehow I manage to get wifi “working” too. But sometimes when Windows boots I got wifi other times I don’t…

1- Where can I find drivers for “Windows 10 creators fall update”?

2- What is the official/manufactures website for the Jumper brand laptops?

    Thanks in advance

    1- Install Windows 10

    1.1- Download ISO
Use the “Windows 10 Media Creation Tool” from Microsoft web site to get the ISO image file.

    Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    Program: MediaCreationTool.exe

    1.2- Create bootable disk
Use the Rufus program to burn the Windows 10 ISO image file into an USB pen drive or an external hard drive.

    Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    Program: rufus-2.18.exe

    Rufus configuration:

    Available options:

    • MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI
    • MBR partition scheme for UEFI – With Windows XP support
    • GPT partition scheme for UEFI – Without XP support

    Choose: <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>GPT partition scheme for UEFI </span>

1.3- Boot from the USB drive
Press “DEL” to enter the BIOS or “F7” to  show the “Boot menu”.

    2- Update Windows 10
Run the update wizard until all updates are installed. After each reboot run the update wizard again.

After a few hours, all updates should be installed… Only then you should to go to the next step!

    3- Install official drivers

3.1- Get the official Jumper EzBook 2 drivers
You should get the drivers from the manufacturer. The website is http://www.jumper.com.cn/en/

However at the time this article was written the drivers section only appeared in the Chinese version of the site…

    Official drivers: http://www.jumper.com.cn/download.php

Use Google Chrome in order to see the page in English.

You will need the “V114TL-64位驱动.zip” file from “All driver B update”.

Now in order to download it you have 2 options:

1- Install Baidu software download agent (Baidu will not allow you to download a file of this size using the browser).

2- Create a Baidu account, save the file to your account clicking “Save to the network disk” button. In your account you can download the file using just the browser.

After downloading the big file unzip it to “…\Downloads\ezbook2-site\all-drivers”.

    3.2- Install the missing drivers
There are several drivers missing as you can see “Other devices” section in the “Device Manager”.

Click at each one and select the folder where you unzipped the drivers.

Probably one or two devices will not have a suitable driver, so don’t worry too much 🙂

However if you don’t have sound, most likely you have a crucial driver missing, the “Realtek I2S Audio Codec”. This issue will be fixed in the next section.

    4- Update drivers

The easiest way to update the old Jumper website installed drivers is to use a program called “Driver Booster”.

    Link: https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php

    Program: Driver_booster_setup.exe

Important: Make sure you select “Create a system restore point before a driver is installed” during the install process of a driver. This is crucial because some driver might crash Windows during the install process and it won’t boot anymore! Is this scenario you will need to rollback the changes, returning Windows installation to the previous safe working configuration.

You can also use the “Intel driver support assistant” to update/find some drivers, like the GPU.

    The link is: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
