Hi, try opening the backflip of your ezbook and be sure to discharge all static electricity than:

    1. unplug battery, wait for some seconds (maybe 30/60) than plug it in again and reboot.
    2. if this doesn’t work: unplug battery; unplug SSD; retry booting and access to bios

REALLY IMPORTANT: be sure to discharge static electricity before doing everything

Many thanks @Ageatis! You have the right solution, if I remove the battery, the bios is reset!

I understood that the problem with the bios is when I configured Chipset -> South Bridge -> OS Selection -> Linux (with the problems I explained above).

But now if i set “UEFI: KingstoneDataTraveler” (my USB stick) as first boot and I use the USB stick with Slackware (as above), the computer no longer see the USB flash drive and if I return to the bios the order is again:

    [Windows Boot Manager]
    [UEFI: KingstoneDataTraveler]
    [UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell]

…with the same USB flash drive with Slackware. Why now doesn’t work???

Now I have lost my isorespin with Ubuntu… Is there an ISO ready with Ubuntu (isorespin) that can be downloaded and used without any others steps? Because, I did a lot of tests and I disconnected the battery many times and now I’m so tired and I search a simple solution…

    My bios is version 2.18.1263
Are there any changes to install Linux for example with a new BIOS (if exist)?

… or anyway which is the easiest way to install a distro like Ubuntu or Debian now?

    Hi, glad that all worked.

Keep in mind that boot sequence, with usb as first place, reset when you unplug any usb key and reboot pc.
Try hitting f7 during boot sequence with usb inserted and choose from the menu’.

About your request of distro here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1q0JypRwgiU6ZG2tXe6N5SMyuLb5HSvW6 you can find a respin linux mint and the torrent file to download it. There is also a simple guide to install almost any other linux distro.

OH, atm there is no new bios but you  can unlock your following a guide in a pinned thread in this forum
