Hi there, I got my EZbook 3 pro a couple of weeks back from Geekbuying (Germany warehouse).  I have the same issue, I had noticed it and thought it was just a looseness in the trackpad towards where the clickable buttons sit.  But it isnt really an issue on the left hand side of the trackpad as you say, so not sure if it could be a small DIY fix or not.  Aside from that I’m really happy with the build quality and the keyboard especially feels pretty solid.  The trackpad was the only thing I noticed and that thought oh thats a bit loose, but just accepted because of the price.  Its one of those things that you notice more after you first notice it, especially as the laptop is otherwise silent.

Thanks for your reply, and that is interesting one – i also got mine sent from germany (although gearbest said it came from czech warehouse) and exacly same problem. Touchpad is ok on top but clacky on middle and bottom.

here i found another video which i believe is the same fault as ours.

I will write to gearbest and ask them about removing seal to fix or possible refund. You couldnt be more right – overall build quality is pretty awesome, thats why clacking touchpad especially will drive me mad. I suspect bad batch.

I will be doing thermal mod so i will have to open ezbook anyway so ill give feedback after i do so.

Ok so what happened: i fixed it with piece of tape placed inside, worked flawless. Unfortunately i had to tear seal sticker, which is easy to remove without breaking however i broke it anyway.

Ok cool, thanks for confirming.  Did you just use electrical type tape? Does it basically dampen the contact of the touchpad and the metal its contacting with underneath (to produce the clacking noise)?

Where exactly have you placed the tape? otherwise a bit of a useless post for others with the same problem

I don’t understand, the bottom left and right of the trackpad are hardware keys for left/right click… It’s normal that they “clack” when pressed…

Yes they are, but we’re finding the touchpad noisy when just tapping (notactually clicking like a mouse) around, its more noticeable on the right hand side of the touch pad, where it just seems a bit looser.

i marked metal bar that was causing noise. Its supposed to work as spring for touchpad buttons. I placed little piece of tape there to get rid of problem. Well its kinda obvious when you open device so i didnt mention where to put tape earlier. Btw i noticed i have 4500mah battery instead of 4800 as in earlier versions. Looks like jumper going for our money silently cutting costs of units. Still havent decided if to make dispute with them. They always throw 10$ like its gonna change anything. Also backlight bleeding is pretty severe and my screen is some generic crap. Oh yeah: and i have only 1 ddr3 chip soldered to motherboard, although software tells me its in dual-channel. How can it be dual channel i dont understand, but surely 1 bigger chip is cheaper than 2, imho that proves jumper maximizes their profits because product sells good and has good reviews.

e2: i benchmarked this generic ddr3 today… its 1.5x times slower than my old ddr2-800 laptop one… i seriously not recommend this machine anymore, or just be aware for this “low” money you get very low specs.
