It indisputably is a hardware issue in this batch of the Jumper EZBook 3 Pro; it even happens in the BIOS.

I wonder if it would be possible to fix it somehow with replacement parts. But I don’t suppose anyone would invest that time and money to find out. I’d do it in a heartbeat if there was a replacement keyboard that fixed it for 20$ or something.

I wonder if it even is an issue with the keyboard itself; I suspect it’s the firmware/BIOS rather than the keyboard hardware. It would be near impossible to find out though without replacement parts or official support from Jumper (which doesn’t exist, it seems).

I been running both Windows and Linux on mine. For me the C key and Spacebar key is acting weird. The C key won’t register a click and spacebar will somtimes insert 2 spaces. It’s more common on Linux though, which is weird.

I just received an EZBook 3 Pro from GearBest, so it’s pretty new. I assume it’s the v4 as it has the hatch for the M.2.

I don’t have the keyboard problem (touch wood it doesn’t just appear one day!).
My BIOS also doesn’t have any options relating to changing CPU power settings, etc. So I wonder if I may have a different BIOS version.

    Core version:5.12
    Project Version: JUMPER10x.P8,WP313P.N…
Build Date and Time: 11/06/2017 14:30:19

I’m not sure if there’s any way for my to dump my bios in case anyone wants to try it, but I can possibly try to help out if it doesn’t take too much time.

I just got the notebook a couple of days ago and the keyboard is absolutely killing me.

It doesnt respect the windows settings on how fast the repition of the key should be and that other settig.

Also it doesnt register a bunch of keystrokes. I have to hammer the kys very hard directly in the middle o the key or it siply wont register. With this kind of keyboard te lptop is petty uch uselss as i have to tpe ever wod multiple times. Even the backpace ke has this issue which mkes everything more tedious. Im sory for all te misin keys but this is (avgn) ass.

It appears to me as it is a hardware issue as it also happes in the bios. Im gonna ask gearbest about but if theyre also just gonna offer 4 dollar like a pevious poster here Im gonna flip

Well, it was actually 10 USD for me. 😉

There is a registry change you can make to make it less frustrating; it’s on the forums here somewhere.

I have the V4 version. The keyboard is almost lag free. Keys are reliable if hit on center. However there’s a mechanical issue when hitting keys a little off center. It clicks but does not allway register. It is no issue if typing slowly, but once you go for more speed it becomes sligthly unreliable.

put a clear center ring over the keys or a tiny sticky bump in the middle

check your J and F key to get an idea

i did that years ago with cut off pin heads to find certain keys without looking
