This happens with my unit also, no idea how to fix it. The area behind the webcam is hot not only on standby but all the time the computer is on. And it stays that way even with the notebook closed, right until the battery dies.
Cpu usage is normal windows idle 0-2%. When the computer is closed I obviously cant see the cpu usage, but I can confirm that the area around cpu is perfectly cool on standby, while the area behind the webcam is warm to the touch. I also went ahead and disabled the webcam in the device manager but it didnt help.
