    Hi,

I have just received an EZbook 3 pro what people here have identified as a V5 (Bios date 11/06/2017). Now everytime I power on or reboot the laptop, it enters the BIOS first. It then pops up the “Confirm exit without saving” message in a flickering loop. Need to hit the escape key multiple times until it stops and then manually exit the BIOS. Then finally the Windows Boot loader will continue. Not critical, but annoying. here some other interesting findings:

    • On power on, need to hit one of the arrow keys to see the Jumper screen, otherwise just black screen
    • Have set admin password for BIOS, asks for it on startup, but even if entered wrongly, can still do changes in the BIOS.

To me it looks like a damaged BIOS. Should I flash BIOS again, I have seen there are some rom files here in the forum? Any help is welcome.

    Cheers,

    Martin

Be careful with the bios in the ezbook 3 pro.  If you switch off quiet boot you can see the bios splash screen and it shows “evaluation copy.”  You might be better off sending it back than messing with it.
