So Finally my Cube arrived today and within minutes I’ve found my first disappointments:
- About 2 CM of the Right side and 1 CM of the Bottom side of my Touch-Pad isn’t working, as if there’s no Sensor Below! Doesn’t react to Swiping nor Tapping… Very Upset about this Fail from Cube! Any Idea how to Fix it? Perhaps it’s some calibration/Driver/Bios Issue? Any Suggestions? Thanks!
- The other this is minor, whenever I pick up the laptop from the right corner, there’s a squeaking as if the bottom part isn’t held tight enough in that area, any one having the same problem? Any Solutions? Thanks!
For me the 2cm area is a scroll bar (go to a long webpage and see if you can scroll with it by running a finger down it).
And the area at the bottom are the hardware buttons, so not the touchpad (press it down and you will hear a click sound).
i have not had the squeak but for some random reason the bottom left hand corner of my screen lifts out of the frame ever so slightly (but visible), it can be pushed back in but then in a few days it lifts again. mild irritation, lol, loving the quality control!
hope the advice helps.

I thought so too at first, but it’s not working that way, I tried and it will work only if I first tap on the working area then drag my finger to the right side, but that’s not comfortable, I can just scroll with two fingers, as for the 2cm, it’s actually about 3cm and still kinda annoying to have this flaw, wonder what should I try to fix it, maybe reinstall the Touch Pad Software, but I don’t know where to get the install file of it… Would I lose my Drivers if I reinstall the Windows? also do you think a Bios update may solve it?
As for the Screen, I don’t have such problem (woohoo lol) tho the bottom corner of the laptop is squeaking even if I tight up the screws… other then that I Love the quality!

ah I just stepped into windows (am usually a linux user) and noticed the same problem you mention above. it works in linux so that must mean its a driver issue. good luck on finding a updated windows driver though – support for these machines is really thin on the ground! the bios update i posted in this forum doesnt seem to do much besides changing the logo from chinese to english so doubt it would have much effect on the touchpad (since it seems more related to the drivers). I tend to use an external mouse as well so its likely not to be much of an issue to me.
September 7, 2017 at 10:33 am #71689I saw your post and thought it was just the way the touchpad had been set up, with scroll etc, so didn’t comment as wasn’t sure of the exact details of it, and mine is packed up ready to go back, not happy with the keyboard. If it’s not great now, what’s it going to like in 6 months..
