If you go back a few pages, you will see that I gave some heads up regarding aliexpress.
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>It’s a risky business when it comes to more expensive items and 300-400 usd is expensive imho. Like previous users said: if everything goes well then you are good to go but as soon as you stumble on any problems, then everything goes South – because their customer service will just toy you around from one staff to another. Everything is building up on that you are lucky to get an honest seller who actually will help you. Otherwise, you are pretty much left out alone.

and yet Alibaba is the largest retailer in the world. Go figure. Makes no sense. I certainly will never buy from them for anything over 50 bucks.

Update: GB seem to have packaged my Hi13 – but this still means, at most, being consloidated. Still, a little encouraging.
April 9, 2017 at 3:15 pm #64942My two standard shipping gearbest Hi13 just got there tracking numbers and shipped!
And my DHL Gearbest Hi13 is due tomorrow. So safe to say they are shipping, shame about Banggood. They still have no stock 🙁

The screen protector on this one is perfect, no dust. Bios version interesting is v1.11, but my Aliexpress one is bios version 1.12.

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30April 10, 2017 at 1:38 pm #65009Did anyone else get a cancellation request from Gearbest? I ordered using the app when it was $300, so I can only assume that’s the reason they want me to cancel.
“Thank you for your recent order at Gearbest.com
This is an update about the following item:

remaining items
sku*quantity:201927401 * 1 , CHUWI Hi13 2 in1 Tablet PC
PB0110201 * 1 , WN – 07 Wall Charge Socket Adapter

Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that due to an issue with the suppliers, we can no longer ship this order to you as it is now unavailable. We are taking measures to ensure that this issue does not happen again. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and would like to offer you the following options to resolve this issue…. etc.”
They gave me two days to request a refund to my card or they’ll send it to my Wallet instead. I replied pointing out that the tablet is currently on offer and looks to be very much in stock in response.

Yes, I too – but I paid approx. the standard discounted price which it has returned to ~£277.
To be fair, they offered that I could wait…. and wait …. and ….. I reckon I might have it by the end of April 🙂
Also I added other stuff in to the order afterwards – they have been pretty helpful even if the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I am confident that the deal will happen or that a full refund would be given – they sem to be fairly reliable.
I am not ordering the keyboard – I am going to try a little stand, and a Bluetooth keyboard first, because I have a Chuwi Hi10 Pro and keyboard and it is fairly horrible (very loose fitting) and very heavy. I have been told that the pen is only needful for specialist purposes – so I am giving that a miss too. I am a cheapskate! Les.
PS I recommend the Hi10 and Hi8 – but would prefer not to dual-boot! Win10 will only with GREAT difficulty upgrade a 32Gb emmc – sorry off-topic 🙁
