First of all, hello to every one and thanks for the support your giving to this little machine.
Few weeks ago I saw a Chinese w10 tablet ad on internet and I got interested on this devices. I started to do a little market research and I found this x98 pro a very interesting tablet in terms of price/specs, I watched and read all videos and your forums about this, finally I decided to buy it, and after 3 days I received it I would like to share my first impressions and ask some doubts about it.
I have to say that since I unpacked it I’m impressed, I expected worse build quality after few Chinese experiences , the screen definition took my attention, it looks awesome. Then I charged it and I tried different cables, after that I booted it on both OS and everything its working! I felt a relief when I saw everything was working fine as was a little bit skeptical. Then I started to get deep on both OS, and there its when I started to see the dark side of this tablet… the software its the weakest point, it leaves much to be desired. I tried to change between OSs using the installed apps and I got few stucks easily resolved resetting it pressing the off button for a while. Then Ive been setting android to my taste, the only problem I’m Having is that it doesn’t recognises my microsd, I’m waiting for upcoming and more refined mireks rom version to upgrade because I don’t really like the stock version and he is doing a very hard job to Improve it.
But my main problems comes when I start to explore and set the windows… what is surprising me because most of the previous comments complain about android and not w10 like me…  I dont understand why, but I’m experiencing lots of bugs, lets list them:
-Impossible to go into apps and features or storage menu in settings/system, every time I press on it, it freezes. So this makes impossible to uninstall any programs or check the storage. Any one else like experiencing this?
-Impossible to turn it off! The power options in the windows icon its just like a picture it doesn’t react, and if I hold the power button  and I Slide to turn off the system as it says when the blind comes down it freezes too and there’s no way to recue it although you hard reset.
-when I turn it on all the shortcuts in the desktop disappear, they just appear when I Add a new one, not even refreshing or any other way.
-Most of the times that I Open the file explorer it doesn’t show anything, not showing the devices and drives… and I can leave it loading for 5 min and it never show it.
-windows updates doesn’t work, since I got it its stuck on 2%, no way to change any option.
-After these and many more bugs I went to the recovery option, I chose the full one, and a it will take a while message appears, it doesn’t do anything…
I just read few more reports of people who bought the tablet from gearbest as me, and they report the same problems, its like an uncompleted w10 full of bugs. The curious point is that other people highlight as good this OS instead of android. So I’m pretty sure I can manage to make it works fine as the other people because it has to be just a software problem.
What option do you recommend me?
Had any one of you this problems?
    Did you solve them?
Is there any option to identify which models suffer this?

Are you sure Windows Update is stuck at 2%?  Did you let it run all night?  You need some patience.  That update fixes a lot of problems and takes a LONG TIME.

My Banggood X98Pro Windows 10 runs as good as any fast desktop. It’s pretty cool.

Look at what I did in my previous post

Report back what happened with your tablet.  Have FAITH in Windows 10.

If you’re not too invested in your Windows partition maybe fully wiping it and starting from scratch would be your best option?

Step 13 from here will reinstall your Windows from scratch (not sure if you’d need to manually wipe the drive first, or if the WinPE will do it for you, as mine was wiped when I started off): http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/how-to-dualboot-androidwindows-on-k9c3/

Mines been pretty great from the start. If I had those problems I would reinstall windows. Android has had some problems and still has some but windows has always been good
