Chances are if your USB iant booting it may have an EFI BIOS which wont boot with an MBR drive, try using a program called rufus to make an EFI bootable linux and let me know if you get the same issue

Hey thanks for that option, fixed it with a Windows burned on dvd. Booting from DVD is working. Funny…;)

Hmm, thats interesting, maybe the USB was corrupted?  What did you use to create the USB?

Created the bootable with windows 7 usb creator, but tried also with some other usb sticks and windows versions…very strange..have had the same thoughts like ” mhh why it was working with the dvd but not with that crappy usb stick” thought it would be equal..

Whenever I make a USB of any kind, I use Rufus if I can, have never had any issues with that, its even gotten hirens boot disk on a USB to show up, however the v3 ultrabook wont boot in CSM/BIOS mode so hirens doesnt load which sucks, but you get the idea, at least I hope so
