Flashing black screen videos

In windows most videos will play but the screen flashes for a bit either black or with the background, eventually it settles down but you might get a flash every now and then. Also amazon prime just refuses to play any videos (netflix does work though) I’m guessing a driver update somewhere will help things but using the intel driver tool by chipset driver seems up to date. Any ideas on what I can try? (for now I just watch videos using android)
