Hi,
i just gor my new x98 Pro from China. Unfortunately, the Display Shows some colored horizontal lines in the lower part of the Screen, both in Windows and android mode.
The seller asked me to go to a repair shop to get it repaired at their cost, but the two Shops i asked in Frankfurt won’t Service teclast.
As the tablet Looks perfect from outside the seller thinks it is just a loose Connection between the graphik processor and the Screen. Has anyone of you experienced this problem and is it easy to open the tablet? I will of course ask the seller if he agrees to this as a possible solution, but i would like to know if this is possible at all.
Thanks,
Ralph

I have a X98 Pro having similar problem. Received just before christmas and after a few days saw some flickering lines (up to 4 lines) in different colours. Have been in contact with seller (Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall on Aliexpress) and got the same suggestion as you – try too find local repair shop to start with, but as you I have not found anyone willing to do this yet.
Also the screen has changed so that I know only have one fixed black pixel line always shown on the screen.
As you, I have started to consider if it would be possible to replace screen by oneself – or at least start to check the screen connector connection. Then again it seems a bit strange that the screen connector would be the cause of a single dead pixel line – seems more as a HW failure.
So I don’t really have any additional input to you other than that I saw that replacement display are available at aliexpress for around 70 dollars.
Have you had any more feedback from your seller?

Almost definitely a hardware problem. Will have to send back to shop for replacement
