"Gaming" Laptops out of China?

Hi all,

 

So the latest Techtablets review of that MSI Laptop got me thinking:) I’m already super happy with the China deals i got so far, a Teclast x98 pro and a Cube i7 stylus for traveling and general tinkering with hardware. Without your reviews i would never have noticed those (thanks Chris!).

Now i wonder if there are manufacturers who also make some more powerful laptops with a cheaper pricetag than the usual Western companies like MSI, XMG, Asus etc that are getting reviewed all the time. Doesn’t have to be really high end stuff, but something with a GTX 1050, 1050 Ti or 1060 would be good enough for “serious” gaming away from my desktop PC. A better Core m3 every year doesn’t add a whole lot of gaming power after all, not without a dedicated graphics card. Any thoughts or tips?

There are a few but the price of them doesn’t really seem worth the risk to me. Sure you might be able to save about $200 bucks but no warranty, no support so if something goes wrong it’s going to be a big nightmare if your talking about a $1000 laptop which is why I haven’t risked it myself.

Of course, I’ll review them if some company out there sells them and can offer me a review loaner unit.

I wouldn’t touch that with a stick. Imagine if it runs too or locks up all the time.
