Hey all,
Minor dilemma here… Should i get the Vi10 Pro now or wait for the Hi10? From the reading I’ve done around here it seems like a lot remains to be finalized for the Hi10, but I like the idea of the HD screen that it will come with.
Orrrr get the Teclast x98 3g air and sacrifice the USB ports for a better screen?
I’ve never owned a Chinese tablet before and I’m apprehensive in the first place, so what are some recommendations? Any input is appreciated!
Thanks, and great work with this site – very informative!
October 30, 2015 at 9:29 am #14515I understand your dilemma. I pre-ordered the Vi10 Ultimate, but apparently there are problems with it. I’m also considering cancelling my order and start looking for an alternative (probably not the Hi10, because I’m thinking it might have the same problems, initially, as the Vi10 Ultimate).
October 30, 2015 at 11:24 am #14523I’m in the same boat, Ryan. I’d like to see what input people have but I’m sure there are loads of people in the same boat as us at the moment.
Its tempting with the HD screen, etc. I’d like to know more about the memory supplied with the Hi10, as most retailers are showing it as 4GB but the processor listed only supports upto 2GB.
Like you I’m new to the Chinese tablet world – but interested to find out more. I’d definitely like USB.
Tempted to go for a Vi10 Pro – thinking that any issues have been resolved. The worry with the HI10 is the acceptance testing – I’ve no idea if this is done and how thorough it is. The worry is they are just trying to get them out the door!!
November 6, 2015 at 10:54 am #15120Still considering cancelling my Vi10 Ultimate order and changing it to the Vi10 Pro. I paid EUR 171 for the pre-sale Vi10 Ultimate, incl. keyboard, which is a good price. If I look on AliExpress now, the old Vi10 Pro with keyboard costs about the same. I’m just worried about the battery life of that new Cherry Trail chipset, compared to the old Bay Trail.
I would think the new chipset would be much more energy efficient than the old one… but I keep on reading otherwise?
I’m not much into gaming, if that matters.Do you have any advise for me Chris?
