I just bought this charger to charge my mix plus but it is not even detected and won’t work.
Does anyone know what is the requirement to charge the mix plus? THis charger was a 2A, 12v center negative charger, so I don’t understand what’s wrong.
July 25, 2017 at 2:54 pm #69641It’s a bit hard for me to order from amazon because the shipping is expensive so I’m looking for alternative sources for chargers.
Has anyone used this before?
it’s 12V but not sure of the amperage. 33w. It has QC3.0.. is that dangerous for tablets? I read somewhere that this may not be desirable.
This one is by aukey, looks good too but again has QC3.0.
July 25, 2017 at 4:22 pm #69644For charging over USB C you need a charger capable of PD (Power Delivery) specified at 14,5 or 15V at 2A or higher.
Quick Charge is a Qualcom standard (mainly cellphone processors) and thus not compatible.

Are there any inexpensive chargers like that on aliexpress or gearbest? They don’t have to have fast charging. Also I’d need it to be inexpensive.
October 21, 2017 at 2:05 pm #73735October 22, 2017 at 11:32 am #73775The second one from Blitzwolf (Banggood link) should work because it has the exact specifications I stated before: 15V 2A “PD”
The other one from Ali will NOT work because NO PD and only Quick Charge.
October 24, 2017 at 12:08 pm #73872My mix plus wont charge up to 100%. 2 months ago, it will charge only until 91%. When I plugged in, it says charging, but the percentage will never go beyond that. Now, it only charge till 81%. I am using oem charger with 12V 3.5A rating. The report from batterybar pro, also showing the same, with 0% of battery wear. Perhaps anyone have solution for this, would you share with us here.
October 25, 2017 at 7:03 pm #73919I think its an issue with the device reporting incorrect battery capacity – think there may have been a firmware mod by someone on XDA (or maybe when initially overcharging and staying at 100%), it confuses the battery controller so that when it depletes, its never able to reach the 100% when charging again (as the actual 100% is now your 91% or 81% as what you mentioned).
Do you still get the same battery life as before from full charge (your 81% to 0%) in comparison to how the full charge to depletion was before?

Ok thanks. Still I’m so worried because I heard about Chinese USB C chargers and cables burning. Is it really that dangerous? Has anyone ever bricked a tablet with an USB c charger?
January 10, 2018 at 12:37 pm #76712I have bought one from uGreen:
https://nl.aliexpress.com/store/product/Ugreen-USB-C-Charger-Fast-Mobile-Phone-Charger-USB-Travel-Charger-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S8-S8/301635_32821405437.html?spm=a2g0z.12010612.0.0.578f404ebiXIvPI have must of my cables and mobile electronics from them. Always good quality, fast shipping and cheap. SO, I thought I would look up if they had any USB C chargers with some high Watts. And they did! 30W was suppose to be enough, I ordered one and it’s charging my Mix Plus for a couple of months already. I already had a certified Bellkin cable, otherwise they have good cables too.
January 21, 2018 at 1:59 pm #77428I think am alon in the moon …. Are you guys saying that u can actually charge mix plus via USB type C port? Mine does nothing… Or did I miss something in the bios settings(which I’ve never touched)…. Waiting to hear from you guys

personally using this charger: https://www.anker.com/products/variant/PowerPort%2B-5-Ports-USB-C-/A2053111
and paired with the following cable: https://www.anker.com/products/variant/PowerLine%2B-3ft-USB-C-to-USB-C-2.0-/A8187091

January 25, 2018 at 2:03 pm #77657hello since im a new to forum and this cube mix plus community, just wanted to point out that there is no need to plug charger more powerful than 24W. If you look behind your device there is writen 12V and 2A. 12×2=24W
But it is always nice to have some additional power margin so your charger wont work on 100% stress. Ive ordered and still waiting since december for dodocool 45w charger and dodocool cable. Im 99%sure that this will work fine and will leave feedback after getting it. (Ive ordered from this company not because i work for them but cause i have dodocool 7in1 hub and can confirm that all beside charging works with cube mix plus)
@edit, I can confirm that dodocool 45W and cable works fine. When charged it takes 30-35W.
