So far I’m pretty happy with my decision of getting my very own piece of Chuwi HI12. I’d say it’s an amazing tablet for the price.

I’ve been tinkering and trying to set up the tablet but I found that when I installed Google Chrome / Firefox (tried on both), they get REALLY laggy and choppy. I’ve been trying to find for a solution on the net but I haven’t found one. I’ve tried updating my graphics, tweaking my chrome settings, disabling extensions (I use a lot of chrome, so I was trying to fix Chrome first) and….still none worked.

I must say that Edge works PERFECT on this device and I love the browsing experience on this tablet. Soooo smooth, sooo gooood. But why can’t it work for chrome / firefox?

I do have to say that I’m also a new WINDOWS 10 USER, so I wasn’t eliminating the chance that it could be a windows problem, tried windows update as well but none seemed to work so far. Anyone found a fix to this?

    Thanks

I agree wholeheartedly. I am thinking about using Linux and abandon W10, but am not sure if it works well. I am also a heavy user of Photoshop and Illustrator, but just saw that Wine makes it possible to use it on Ubuntu or Linux.

    W10 sucks

So there’s no fix? How disappointing… why does it seem like there’s no one else facing the same issue?

By the way, seems like reading PDF files with Adobe Acrobat is choppy as well.

I have tweaked my Chuwi a lot. Also purchased a real Chuwi keyboard and must say I am very happy with it now. It really, really is a fine laptop. I do not have the issues you are dealing with, how odd. The only recurring issue I have to face is the weird behaviour of battery-life. Last time I mentioned the Chuwi had returned to normal readings of about 10,000 mWh, now I have again only  3345 mWh with 21.4%  (of 4,300 mWh) battery wear. I hope it will one day turn back again to normal, but I just keep it connected to current and can work with it, as with any laptop. Only without current it goes downhill very fast and can use it for perhaps three hours (never tried to go to 0 battery level).

The keyboard sometimes misses a character when typing, anyone else notices the same? I have to type with real force now to be sure I have not missed a character. Anyone?
